unconditional

she said
Just accept my unconditional friendship

A man leaned over
the bridge at
twilight, looking into
the river
a man talked over
the grass, swinging a
hose over the grass,
watering it.

the moon almost
full, rising orange
over the window

she’s going to stay right
here, she’s going to fix
something on her
bike. she is
a smart woman, she is
older than me

I’m seeing things with
child like eyes now and it
is better. life is
like a dream, with
a great surprise of
brilliance everywhere you
look
and something miraculous
happening.

I walk into the
sun and let it
heal me: each part of me

I walk into the
moon and let it
heal me: moon heal
my belly moon
heal me
